Toronto film fest is set for September 9 to 19
Get ready for 11 days of movie screenings and, if you're lucky, perhaps a few brushes with celebrity. The Toronto International Film Festival launches on September 9 and runs until September 19. Kate Hennig comes home for Billy Elliot at the Canon
Toronto actor Kate Hennig, who is currently starring as Mrs. Wilkinson in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical, will return to her home town for the play’s Toronto engagement. Billy Elliot the Musical is scheduled to launch at the Canon Theatre on January 28, 2011. Hennig is a highly accomplished actor who has earned a Dora Award nomination for her stage work and a Genie Award nomination for the acclaimed film, 32 Short Films About Glenn Gould. Hip hop festival is coming to Downtown Yonge September 20
Canada’s leading hip hop festival, the Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture, will feature seven days of incredible events across the city from September 20 to 26, culminating in a massive free outdoor concert at Yonge-Dundas Square.
